On March 5, 2026, Vast announced $500M in new financing: $300M Series A equity and $200M in debt, led by Balerion Space Ventures with Qatar Investment Authority (QIA), IQT, Mitsui, MUFG, Nikon, Stellar Ventures, Space Capital, and Earthrise Ventures. Founder Jed McCaleb also participated. A.C. Charania (former NASA Chief Technologist, now Balerion advisor) joined the Vast board as part of the transaction. Vast is the only commercial space station company to have already built, launched, and operated its own spacecraft — Haven Demo completed its mission in February 2026. Haven-1 integration is underway with schedule updated to Q1 2027. Total investment now exceeds $1 billion. Capital funds Haven-1 completion and Haven-2 development for NASA's CLD Phase 2.
