SpaceFund backs companies building the commercial space economy, deliberately avoiding traditional aerospace primes. Portfolio companies have included Rhea Space Activity, Hydrosat, Space Perspective, Max Space, Longshot Space and Radian Aerospace.
Founded in 2018 (first fund activity around 2019–2020) by Rick Tumlinson and Meagan Murphy Crawford. Headquarters are in Houston, Texas. The firm has raised multiple vehicles, including a BlastOff Fund, and continues active investing in seed and Series A space deals.
