About
Aerospace Innovation GmbH (AI) designs, builds and qualifies custom propulsion systems spanning electrostatic (IonJet), resistojet and cold-gas (AquaJet/MicroJet), solid and hybrid thrusters. Thrust levels range from millinewtons to several kilonewtons; the team has produced more than 50 systems for terrestrial and space applications.
Customers include national and international aerospace firms as well as DLR and ESA. The company also performs system and cost analyses and numerical simulations (FEM/CFD).
It evolved from the AI Aerospace Institute founded in 2000 at TU Berlin and operates as a GmbH in Berlin under managing director Harry Adirim.
